Land Management
The Land Management Department provides real estate services in conjunction with maintaining all land
record transactions within the exterior boundary of the Menominee Indian Reservation. Due to the unique land issues of the Menominee Indian Reservation the Land Management Department staff will provide research and technical assistant in the identification and resolution of land issues which occurred as a result of the Termination and Restoration of the Menominee Tribe. The services the staff provides includes, but is not limited to, residential, recreational, commercial and agricultural land lease requests, trust applications, maintain right-of-ways/easement requests, facilitate forestry additions and withdrawals, coordinate permit use requests of natural
resources with other departments.

The Land Management Department provides services and coordination through a truama smart approach to other Governmental Departments and to our Tribal and Community Members. Some of those services include
1.) Respondiing to concerns regarding land use, land leases, real estate issues, non-sustained yield forestry use and land permitting
2.) GIS mapping and support, providing general maps requests, contributing to departmental project work and support for project managemnt during development activities
