Community Development
The Community Development Committee shall be responsible for (a) receiving
and examining reports of departments assigned to it; (b) studying and reviewing, on a comprehensive basis, matters relating to community and limited economic
development issues; and (c) reviewing and making recommendations to the
Legislature on requests for use of tribal lands and resources; (d) reporting its
findings and recommendations to the Legislature as it deems necessary.
The Community Development Committee shall be responsible for developing and overseeing a vast array of programs and services aimed at developing community
infrastructure, addressing solid waste disposal needs of the community,
maintaining land use assignments, and conducting short and long term planning in
the development of the community.
