Gaming Commission

The Menominee Tribal Gaming Commission is an arm of the Tribal government established for the exclusive purpose of monitoring the gaming operation on behalf of the Tribe. The Menominee Tribal Gaming Commission issues employee gaming liscenses, gaming facility licenses, conducts background investigations on employees, has oversight responsibilities over the gaming operation to ensure compliance with the Tribal/State Compact, the federal, state and tribal regulations, performs all mandatory audits per 25 CFR, conducts investigations of possible violations and takes appropriate enforcement action with respect to the tribal gaming ordinances and regulations, takes testimony and conducts hearings on regulatory matters, establishes minimum internal control standards for the gaming operation, resolves patron disputes, and ensures that the gaming facilities is constructed, maintained and operated in a manner that adequately protects the environment and the public health and safety, interacts with other regulatory and law enforcement agencies regarding the regulation of gaming and promulgates rules and regulations for the gaming facility.
