Local traffic may experience wait times when encountering work operations along the roadway.
Traffic will be traveling on gravel surfaces for portions of the project.
Future Operations & Traffic Impacts
When the culvert work on WIS 47 is completed, it will be reopened and WIS 55 will be closed to thru traffic from WIS 47 to the Langlade Co Line for about 55 calendar days.
The contractor plans to place new asphalt pavement on WIS 47 this fall as well, with the remaining asphalt paving for the project finishing in 2027.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with a flagging operation during paving.
