MTL General Election Information

Posoh Menominee Tribal Member: In accordance to the Menominee Tribal Constitution & Bylaws, Article IV Section 3 (d), the number of certified candidates did not meet the threshold that would require a Primary Election. Therefore, the Menominee Tribal Elections will proceed to January for the Main Election. The following is a list of the certified candidates that will be on the ballot for a seat on Menominee Tribal Legislature in the 2026 January Main Election. On Reservation Candidates: Craig Corn Kaycee Wayka Daynell Grignon Margaret Snow Off Reservation Candidates: Marcus Grignon Michelle Pocan-Gonzalez John O'Kimosh Gunnar Peters Any eligible Tribal Member considering running as a write-in candidate for this year's Menominee Tribal Legislature, may submit their written intent to the Menominee Tribal Election Office during regular business hours before Friday, January 9, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. In person voting will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2026 at the Neopit Precinct building and on Thursday January 15, 2026 at the Menominee Casino convention center in the Bear Room. Polls will open at 9:30 A.M. and close at 7:30 P.M. for each polling site and date listed. To request an Absentee Ballot, please go to the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin's website at www.menominee-nsn.gov and log into the "Enrolled Members" tab. The Tribe's website allows for immediate submission of your completed ballot request. Absentee Ballot request forms may also be picked up and dropped off at the Election Commission Office, Room 136 in the Wilmer J. Peters Judicial Center from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Members may also e-mail the Elections Commission at elections@imitw.org or call the Elections Office at (715) 799-3446 to request an Absentee Ballot request form be mailed to them.
