MENOMINEE TRIBAL CLINIC MASKING REQUIREMENT AND REPIRATORY SEASON
To protect the health and wellness of our community, all patients, visitors, and staff are required to wear a mask when entering the clinic starting Monday, August 25. This measure helps reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illness, especially to our elders and those at higher risk. Below are guidelines you and your family can follow to help as well.
Community Guidelines for Respiratory Illness:
• Stay home and away from others (including people you live with who are not sick) if you have respiratory virus symptoms that are not better explained by another cause.
• Symptoms can include fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose, headache, sore throat
• You can go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
-Your symptoms are getting better overall, and you have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)
• When you go back to your normal activities, take added precautions over the next 5 days, such as practicing good hand hygiene, wearing a well fitted mask, and physical distancing
• Contact your healthcare provider if your symptoms worsen, you are in a high risk group (such as pregnant, weakened immune system, elderly, or chronic illness), or you suspect you may have another serious infection such as pneumonia.
We anticipate receiving our supply of influenza and COVID vaccine mid to late September. Please watch for clinic updates and posting.
