MITW education department - GED/HSED
Full-time GED/HSED classes are offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Classes are held in the lower level of the Gordon Dickie Sr. Center (a.k.a. FIC Building). Individualized instruction is available. User friendly computer programs Plato and Skills Bank 4 are also available. Each student is responsible for contracting their schedule with the instructor.

GED/HSED Testing Site - FIC Building: Testing is currently offered twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday's starting at 9:00 am to 3:30 PM.

NO TESTS STARTED AFTER 2:00 PM.

Students must provide:
  • Picture ID.
  • Proof of Age.
  • DPI Credential Sheet $15.00.
  • Transcript (if previously tested in another site).
  • Payment of $6.00 per test & $4.00 per re-test.
 
The goal of the Adult Education program is to improve the education level of Menominee's through GED instruction, workshops, seminars and other educational sources. Funding is limited.

Employment related education funding is available, although limited, for job-related activities such as seminars, workshops and academic courses. Menominee Tribal employees are given preference.

Refresher courses in reading, writing, and math for students who need brushing up on basic skills. See the GED instructor to arrange schedules or call 715-799-5119.
