With the cost of education increasing each year and the resources to help pay for these expenses decreasing, it is critical for students to plan ahead and to plan carefully. Too often
students take courses that are not relevant to their major; thereby wasting time and money that could be spent more wisely.
In order to assist you in your education goal, an Education Plan has been developed to guide you. Even if you are undecided on what your education goal is, this plan will help you
get started. You can start thinking about careers, where you want to work, what kind of job you want and the education or training you need in order to get that job!
Because there are funding limitations for some grants, you need to know that changing your major or program may affect your eligibility and funding.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
Students must also begin to take responsibility and do their own search for scholarships beyond financial aid. If you have access to the Internet, research scholarship information there.
High School Seniors should be aware of the local scholarships available, check with your guidance counselor for applications and information. The Tribe offers 4 - $1,000 competitive
merit-based annual scholarships each year. Check the Tribe’s web-site or contact our office regarding the application and deadline to apply. A Scholarship Committee selects these
recipients in the late spring or early summer.
We will be happy to assist you or answer any questions. Our office is located in the lower level of the Family Investment Center, across from the Tribal Office Building. Please call for
an appointment at (715) 799-5118 or 5110.
The Menominee Tribal Education Department is dedicated to providing assistance to Menominees who are pursuing educational advancement.
