Department Overview The Tribal Day Care provides a safe, stable environment where a child can learn, explore, create and play with the supervision of trained child care workers who are qualified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services. The Menominee Tribal Day Care Center exists to strengthen our children, their families and our culture through the provision of the child care service which offers a safe, warm, nurturing environment in which children can learn and grow. The Respite Care Program is a specialized program for infants - 4 year old children. Only children whose families meet specific eligibility criteria for family crisis or respite care needs are eligible for enrollment in the Respite Care Program. Children may be referred to the Respite Care Program through:
MTDC provides opportunities for cultural, social, emotional and physical activities. A daily schedule and lesson plans are designed to encourage a positive self-image and communication skills, motor development with adults and other children. |
