Job Training Program (JTP) Services Overview
 
The Job Training Program (JTP) delivers the following services under Public Law 102-477 Plan. The services provided are:
  • Classroom Training/G.E.D.
  • Tribal Work Experience Program
  • Youth Services
  • Career Services
  • Supportive Services
Not all services will be provided to a client at one time. These activities are the different options available through our department. Customers could receive any combination of these services that would best meet their needs. These are designed in a required employability plan.
 
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for service, clients must be:
  • an enrolled member of the Menominee Tribe; or
  • an enrolled member of a federally recognized Indian Tribe; or
  • ¼ or more Indian, Alaska native or Native Hawaiian descent; or
  • a direct descendant of an enrolled Menominee member; or
  • a direct descendant of an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe.
  In order to qualify for any subsidized employment activity the participant must meet certain additional eligibility requirements:
  • They must be economically disadvantaged; per the Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines.
  • They must be unemployed; or
  • They must be under-employed.
