Job Training Program (JTP) Classroom Training
 
The Classroom Training Program activity includes any training conducted in an institutional setting designed to provide individuals with technical skills and information required to perform a specific job our group of jobs. It may also include training designed to enhance the employability of a participant by upgrading their educational attainment level, by providing a necessary certification, or by developing communication skills. Classroom Training activities my include but are not limited to:
  • Providing basic education skills such as adult basic education and GED preparation that are necessary for a participant to obtain and keep a job.
  • Provide Vocational (2 years) occupational skills training to participants without the technical skills necessary to obtain a self-sufficient job.
  • To provide academic instruction leading to an associates degree.
Training will be provided by local Vocational/Technical schools and by the College of the Menominee Nation. The Education Department and the Menominee Indian School District offer High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Degrees, General Education Diploma classes and testing.
