Career Services includes a variety of tasks and services that are designed to support Native American Students,
workers and unemployed workers. Activities to be included, but are not limited to in career services are:
- Outreach, to provide information through various means to inform potential applicants of JTP services
and to ensure that the target groups are aware of such services.
- Assessment, to provide testing and career analysis as necessary to determine a participant's interests,
goals and skills.
- Referral, to provide interagency contact and referral.
- Orientation, to provide orientation to the integrated employment and training program, the world of work,
or job seeking techniques.
- Counseling, to provide employment/career counseling.
- Job Development, to develop new opportunities with the employer community.
- Job Placement, job matching service that helps match prospective employees with prospective employment
opportunities.
- Follow-Up, to check on placed participants after they have been hired to see if there is any issues
that might have arisen that could keep them from staying successfully employed.
