Department Overview Menominee Tribal Social Services came into existence in 1976 following the passage of the Menominee Restoration Act and establishment of various departments to provide services to tribal members. Services that Menominee Tribal Social Services provides: Oversight of the Child Support Department. Indian Child Welfare Act. Counseling Services to Children and Families. Enrollment Assistance to Adult Adoptess. Adult Paternity. Kinship Care Services. Respite Day Care. Coordination of the Community Child Protection Team. Administration of the Individual Indian Money Accounts Program. Administration of the Per Capita Funds for Minors and Legal Incompetents. Administration of Emergency/Catastrophic Program. Adoption Recruitment.
