The main goals of the Menominee Tribal web site are to:
- Inform the public of the Tribe's history and culture.
- Inform the public of current events affecting Tribal members.
- List resources available to Tribal members.
- Promote the Tribe's image.
These goals will be accomplished by posting the following information on the web site:
- Historical and cultural information as it pertains to the Menominee Indian Tribe.
- A calendar of events.
- Governmental issues and information.
- Departmental information and services provided.
- Employment opportunities with the Menominee Indian Tribe.
- Tourism sites and destinations on the reservation.
To support these goals responsibilities for the web site will fall into two areas, Structure and
Content.
Structure will be the responsibility of the MIS Web Team which
is composed of the MIS Director, Head of Programming, Web Programmer, and Programmer/Systems Analyst.
This area develops the design and layout of the web site and posts and updates the web site content.
Content will be the responsibility of the departments and/or
persons providing information for their page. It is solely the department’s responsibility for the
accuracy and substance of what information is placed on their page. The Web Team will not edit,
correct, or in any way change the meaning of submitted content. The only exception will be content
or images that could be construed as offensive, disrespectful, or which are historically inaccurate.
If such a question arises it will be worked out with the submitting entity and any sources needed to
approve or disprove its validity.
