Pickup/Delivery Procedures |

- The driver shall always greet passengers as they board the van. A courteous driver will play a major part in furthering
Menominee Public Transit service.
- Pick-up on a residential street shall be at the right hand curb in front of a passenger's residence. MENOMINEE PUBLIC
TRANSIT VEHICLES WILL NOT PULL INTO DRIVEWAYS (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS.)
- Horn will be sounded once upon reaching pick-up point, unless passenger has appeared. If the passenger has not
appeared within 30 to 60 seconds, driver will proceed to next destination. Radio dispatcher to indicate that no one
appeared for transportation (NO-SHOW).
- In the event a passenger is a NO-SHOW, the driver must notify the dispatcher. When the dispatcher sets up transportation
for a NO-SHOW passenger, the dispatcher will notify the driver of the situation and how much to collect from the passenger.
The driver must notify the dispatcher of NO-SHOW payments received and record payments on the driver's daily log sheet.
- The driver will assist the elderly and handicapped passengers if necessary as they enter and exit the vehicle. Drivers,
please schedule rides ahead to make sure properly equipped vehicles are available.
- Pick-up of handicapped passengers will be made as convenient as possible.
- All trips must be arranged (30) minutes prior to the regularly scheduled route.
- Vehicle will not be sent back once en route on all regularly scheduled routes. All other trips will be at the discretion of the
dispatcher.
- Outside of extended Keshena area, trips outside of the regular schedule (Special Trips) will be done on an "as available
basis" (after Keshena and extended Keshena area are done) for $1.25. Trips must be arranged through the dispatcher.
